Founded in 1968, Martin and Company has developed as one of the leading accountancy practices in Hampshire by continuing to provide a professional, personalised service to our clients and has now expanded to 6 directors and around 35 members of staff.
The firm offers a whole range of Chartered Accountancy and Taxation Services for the rural sector, specialising in the farming industry, agricultural businesses and landed estates.
We maintain our strong connection with the rural and agricultural sectors from which we have extensive experience.
We also have considerable expertise in advising commercial clients on all aspects of their business, whether it is accounting, taxation or general business matters. This includes the facility to service the security industry and technology sectors that operate in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and the USA.
We are proud of our strong relationship with our clients which is founded by consistently providing a comprehensive service and having an active interest in all aspects of their business and personal affairs.

Seamus joined Martin and Company in 1996 from Coopers and Lybrand in London where he trained after graduating from Queens, Belfast studying Physics. He qualified with the Institute in 1993 as a Chartered Accountant and in 1995 with the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Seamus has a wealth of experience within the farming industry, landed estates, private clients and specialises in capital taxation. |

Angus has an extensive farming background and specialises within Martin and Company’s agricultural and rural estates division. Angus also has extensive experience of trusts and private client tax issues. He is a committee member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants special interest group for farming and rural business. |

David looks after the interests of small and medium sized enterprises, partnerships and sole traders. As one of the commercial directors, David has expertise in assisting with business acquisitions and disposals. David heads up the audit department and also retains his interest on the agricultural side by lecturing at the Royal Agricultural College. |

Chris is a commercial director and looks after a wide range of clients advising owner-managed businesses; both established and start up, in accounting, taxation and general business matters. Chris also looks after organisations within the not-for-profit sector, in particular, charities. |

Will Nixey ACA CTA - willn@martin-company.co.uk
Will grew up in the farming industry and is still actively involved in the family farming business. This has led to his specialisation within the agricultural and landed estate sectors. His other clients include both incorporated and unincorporated owner managed businesses together with private clients. As a member of the Institute of Chartered Tax Advisors, Will is able to advise on all aspects of tax relating to the rural sector. |

Keith has comprehensive experience in specialised areas within commercial auditing, pension scheme accounts and Solicitors Accounts Rules. Keith has a detailed knowledge of companies within the security industry and looks after clients who trade internationally. |
